RescuePot

Since the last update there is a new Hud awayable.
And there are some small chanigns too. As a lucky survivor you got after the crash the receipt which acts as first shelter.
First the rescue pot is damaged and need repairs before you can use it completely.
The very important things are working just the radio isn't working.
Every couple of minutes your medikitbox will generate one. This will help you a lot until you will have the see moth.
With the Fabricator you can nearly create everything what you need to survive at the start.
The rescue pot has own solar panels which give you 75 energy points. Keep in mind to keep something for the night for food or water in until you have some stocks. The pots have a storage box too.

Tools for the First Houres

At the beginning you should produce fins, a knife and the first oxygen tank.
With the knife you can cut corals and plants, with this you can make with the correct other resources further equipment. One of the next important items is the scanner this will help you scan fragments what give you more blueprints. If you play the game before you will know after a while the aurora explodes and contaminates the area.
After the first tools I would work to get the radiation suit so you can go in the area of the aurora. The aurora explodes normally between 10 to 15 minutes after start.
Navigations is difficult at the first steps with buoys you can mark important spots for you. I use them when I was on the Islands so I could swim further times directly. If the storage box in the capsule is fool you can produce boxes for outside they will swim and you can name them. You now will have some basics if you like to repair the pot you need a welder. You can produce with salt magnesium and the pulver you will find in the nests of the blowfish, just keep enough space between them and you will hurt you with their explosion.
Normally you like now to make your own building this can be done with the habitat builder. Difficult to get is silver but you can find this after 70 to 100 meters deep.

Food AnD WATER

Fish and plants are just eatable for a couple of minutes.
The most plants get less amount food than fish, but they are fast growing back what compensate this.
To make the fish longer suitable you can dry it with salt so the timer is increasing.
In the Midgame you later can build a waterfiltrationmachine and a round huge aquarium each floor increase the capacity two are enough for both. If you add inside fish pairs the population will increase over time. Until this step you have to hunt fishes and create water with bleach. For exploration you need food every time and water with you. You can for example add a small aquarium in the cyclops which can hold 8 fresh fishes.

BASE Building

The advantage of every base is you got more space and the oxygen will be replaced, if there is enough energy.
It will allow you to grow your own food and water too. Unfortunately you cannot build round rooms form start anymore. You can find the blueprint on the island with the lantern fruits. How to find them you will find under islands. To use a good base there are some basics to keep in mind. On land or until 100 meters under water you can easily use solar panels to run you base. Just keep in mind the solar panels will not work in night so build enough because the energies keep in the panels until you use it. If you will go deeper than 100 meters you can use bioreactor and nuclear reactor. The bioreactor is cheap and easy to run if you can use an outdoor planting for growing fib replants to get material for the bioreactor. The nuclear reactor is more difficult you need uranium which you will find in the deeper parts. But it’s much faster and keeps a lot of energy. To use a water filtrationmachine you will need 5 Solar panels to keep them all time running this don’t include high fabricator using. If you like you use several water filtrationmachines, moon pools and lights I would target 1100 energy points. How deeper you build how more pressure is on the material and you have to really care about hull integrity. Windows will lower this and hatches or special wall parts will increase the level. If the value gets negative you will get damaged parts and the base will be floated.
Later you will get the moon pool to load and upgrade the sea moth or the prawn suit. The scanner rooms have  drones to scout areas and can scan for material.

Seaglider, Seamoth, PrAWN SUIT and Cyclops

 

The sea glider is the first "vehicle" what can speed you up and bring you in the first deeper areas.
It can be create with the fabricator and needs a lot of batteries. This will get better when you have the battery charger. The sea glider is important to reach parts of the sea moth. It could also help if you make air pipes in regions where you have a lot of fragments or a small corridor base to refill oxygen.

The Sea moth is a really nice small submarine and can be recharged and upgraded in the moon pool.
Later you also can upgrade deep and give it a self load by the sun with correct module. The torpedo luncher will be very nice too. My scout seamots was all the time equipped with storage and better hull integrity. The seaports for the cyclops I use the solar charging so it won't take too much energy from cyclops.


The prawn suit is a nice suite to get resources form special deposits. You can extract with the specialised arm.
It can walk on the ground or jump with the thrusters it's also possible to store like the sea moth in a moon pool or cyclops.

The cyclops is a huge industrial submarine. In generally you are very safe in it. It also has in the back part a modconsole to increase the depth for example. You will have placed for aquariums some storage a small vehicles like sea moth. In the belly of the cylcops there are some storage pots. You should not build to match or the cylcops will go on the floor. This you can change back if you destroyed some of the builded things. In my personally cylcops I all time an emergency fabricator some storage and aquarium with fishes. In the same part where you find the mod console there are also the power cells for change so I would all the time reserves. When you find the power cell recharge you can recharge them again. Now the cyclopses have sensors to warn you if you crash and you can use special cameras at the driver’s board too for navigation. Since the update there is a sonar wich shows the enemys how can attack and damage the cyclops. Do sneak around them there is a silence mode or loud and fast mode for escaping.

ISLANDS

On the map of subnautica there are at the moment two islands.
I use to find them thewrecked Aurora as orientation point.The Island with any ruins but with good metal spots and lot lithium you will find if you go to the Aurora on the rescue pot side in the last third near the thrusters and turn 180 grades now you should have the correct direction. Don’t have in the deep before you find the island. The other Island is the island with ruins which is called Floater Island. For this you have to direct behind the thrusters of the aurora and turn 180 grades so you will have the thrusters in you back! Then swim straight and you will have the correct direction. You should stay at the water surface too, because there is a huge fish there what can kill a sea moth with two, three attacks.
If you are fast and at the surface don't care. I have done this plenty times with the sea glider. On the floater island you will find on the mountains and at the valley down blueprints for planting boxes, round rooms, lights, tables, chairs and you can take lantern fruits with you for planting.
